Remembrance Service 2020

The Service of Remembrance was held outside Trimingham Church, and was led by Jan Balfour (above), who writes:

“Ted and Jean Briggs joined us for Remembrance at Trimingham today. Ted came specially to play the Last Post and Reveille. He was quite nervous about it, but played it beautifully and then accompanied us singing one verse of the national anthem. He wondered if it was a record, someone of 94 playing at Remembrance? He’s determined to play this Wednesday standing out on his doorstep at 11am. He was one of the veterans from the war in South-East Asia, so is always very keen that the Kohima epitaph is read. Thank you, Ted”.
